Automated Environmental monitoring system



As part of an assignment through the Technology and Research program at Horten Upper Secondary School, I designed and developed an environmental monitoring system that retrieves parameters such as humidity and temperature from an indoor climate. The user of the system can connect to the monitoring system using either Bluetooth or Wifi and access the retrieved in-door data. Additionally, the system monitors and automatically waters a set of user-assigned plants based on soil moisture. The idea of the project was to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy indoor climate, while also simplifying tasks such as watering plants when needed.


The monitoring system was programmed in C++ and consists of both an Arduino board and an ESP32 development module.
